Representing Virginia and West Virginia Social Security disability claimants
I represent Virginia and West Virginia claimants before the Social Security Administration after their initial applications have been filed. I have significant experience handling claims that have been rejected at each appellant level of the Social Security Administration and then are appealed to the federal court system for judicial review. I have represented claimants in the United States Federal District Court for the Western District of Virginia.
I have been practicing law for over two decades and have been representing Social Security claimants for almost as long. I am a long time local Virginian. I went to undergraduate school at James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia, and I went to law school at George Mason University School of Law in Arlington, Virginia. I am licensed to practice law in both Virginia and West Virginia.
I am a former Marine Officer and served on active duty in the United States Marine Corps from 1988 – 1992. I was stationed at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, California and was on active duty during Operation Desert Storm.
Since leaving the military and returning to Virginia, I have been active in the local community and have served on the Board of Directors of several non-profit organizations including the Kiwanis Club of Winchester. Additionally, I recently served as an adjunct faculty member of Shenandoah University in Winchester where I taught an upper level undergraduate course about the basic legal system as applied to professional and amateur sports.
I have been a sustaining member of the National Organization of Social Security Claimants’ Representatives (NOSSCR) for many years, and have represented hundreds of clients at disability hearings before the Social Security Administration.
I know the Social Security disability claims procedure and I will work closely with you and give you the personal attention you deserve. We can work together with your doctor or therapist and make sure we present to the Social Security Administration all the helpful information that is necessary to win your case.
Please contact me if you would like more information or if you would like me to help you through the complex Social Security Disability evaluation process.
